Congratulations, my friend. You're doing your dream vacation and, now and then, you experience a little twinge of fear---apprehension about the unknown, fear of thieves, fear for your safety. Well, below are a few suggestions that should help to keep you safe on your trip.

1)Take a small rubber doorstop and wedge it at the base of your hotel room door. The majority of thieves won't slam themselves over and over again against your door; they will look for easier pickin's.

2) Many notebook computers get left behind in airports, hotel rooms, etc. Quite a few times, staff cannot determine the knowledge required to send it back to you due to passwords and such. So tape a business card onto the cover of your laptop. That way, maybe it'll be sent by mail to you.

3) Here are some great ideas to guard your billfold. You can fasten a safety pin across your slacks pocket on the interior. You can still maneuver your wallet out, but pickpockets won't manage to whisk your wallet into their pocket. Another plan is to put a few bucks and several worthless cards in a dummy wallet. Then if you get mugged, chuck the wallet on the ground and go. A third idea is to insert your wallet into a waistpack or the front pants pocket of your clothing.

4)Don't head out anywhere with an anonymous someone who wants to direct you to a place. Don't get into a motor vehicle with an unrequested guide. Discover the distinction between public cabs and phony ones.

5) Never make jokes or remarks pertaining to fire or a bomb scare. All authorities need to perceive many times is one reference to such topics and you can be in significant trouble. You can even be confined or arrested. It's not a subject to talk or joke about in public areas.

6) Do not leave your luggage unwatched ever. However, two creative ideas folks make use of to protect their bags whether in an unattended automobile or a public area is use of a bicycle cable and lock or mountaineering carabiners. Fasten them to some firm object. An added notion is to connect small bells to your stuff that will ring if anybody touches them.

7) Connect stuff like iPod or digital cameras to your daypack or duffle bag with a lanyard. It is way too easy to leave a bistro or other establishment quickly and leave such items behind.

8) When strolling chaotic avenues or insane terminals, place a referee's whistle or another noise-maker around your kids' necks. If they lose you, they're able to blow the thing. It may irritate a few individuals, but so what? At least you'll locate one another.

9) It is practical for your kid's health to carry a Ziploc bag that contains children's Ibuprofen or aspirin, a thermometer, Benadryl, a few bandaids, and even an antibiotic. It might save you looking for a drug store or pharmacy at midnight.

10) If you're on a luxury cruise, check your cabin life vests, try them on. Take the lifeboat exercise seriously and don't forget the location of your muster and lifeboat station. God forbid that there be a accident, a fire, or whatever, but you have to be ready for such a situation.

One of these recommendations can save you a world of hurt and make your vacation all the amusement or leisure it is intended to be. Bon voyage.

I think your suggestions are great. I especially love the dummy wallet and safety-pinned pocket.
